Spring In late spring, olive trees blossom. Ensuring adequate moisture is crucial, which can be achieved through shallow tillage—a practice that also controls weeds and helps retain soil moisture.
Summer Pest monitoring is a year-round task, but summer brings the biggest threat: the olive fruit fly. To combat this, yellow traps are installed, and inspections continue. Meanwhile, shallow tillage and irrigation help protect against drought.
Autumn During summer, the olives grow larger, but full ripening occurs in October. Harvesting is done gradually, depending on the ripeness of each variety. Once picked, olives should be processed as soon as possible—ideally within 24 hours—to ensure the highest quality olive oil.
